Thank YOU for your support of the Wildcat (Food) Packs! With just days of preparation, on March 18, 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Mechanicsburg Area School District (MASD) offered their first grab ‘n go, food distribution; since that time, in excess of 35,000 meals were provided to children in our community.
In partnership with MASD’s food service department, Operation Wildcat, and many individuals and groups both large and small, food distribution continued uninterrupted through the summer of 2020 and beyound. It quickly grew to include Wildcat Packs. These weekend bags contained food and personal care items to sustain children through the weekend.
In just a few short weeks, financial gifts to the Wildcat Foundation, helped fund the cost of Wildcat Packs, raising over $20,000 These designated funds were used to purchase bulk food products from Central Pennsylvania Food Bank and educational/enrichment items which were distributed from April 2020 throughout that summer.
The Wildcat Pack distribution program will continue utilizing the designated support we have received to date. All involved in this program are grateful and humbled by the outpouring of support we have received from our neighbors, and from your families and friends throughout the country.
If you have questions about our decision to close this designated donation option, or would like to support the Wildcat Foundation in other ways, please don’t hesitate to contact us by phone (717.691.4505) or email.
